1. Manufacturing Scope & B2B Service Terms
Welcome to Wide Leather. These Terms of Service govern all business interactions, sample inquiries, quote requests, custom leather manufacturing orders, and export shipments executed between Wide Leather ("Manufacturer", "we", "us") and B2B buyers, private-label brands, and wholesale clients ("Client", "Buyer").
Our website is an inquiry-only B2B catalog platform. We do not operate consumer e-commerce checkout. All production programs are governed by individual Proforma Invoices (PI), technical specification sheets, and formal purchase orders.
2. Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) & Volume Pricing
Flexible Pilot Runs & Volume Tiering
Our standard production MOQ starts at 100 units per style/color for pilot runs. Volume tiered pricing discounts apply automatically for orders exceeding 500, 1,000, and 5,000 units.
MOQ requirements may vary depending on custom leather tannery minimums, rare hardware plating requirements, or specialized custom-printed linings requested by the Client.
3. Sampling & Prototype Sign-Off
Prior to bulk manufacturing, Wide Leather produces physical Pre-Production Samples (PPS) for client review and formal sign-off:
- Sample Lead Time: Standard prototype strike-offs are completed within 14 to 21 business days following tech pack confirmation and sample fee receipt.
- Sample Approval: Bulk cutting begins strictly after receiving written physical or high-resolution photo/video sample approval from the Client.
- Sample Revisions: Minor pattern or hardware adjustments requested post-sample review will be executed promptly. Major structural changes post-sign-off may incur additional tooling charges.
4. Quality Control & Inspection Benchmarks (AQL 2.5)
Wide Leather operates under ISO 9001 certified quality management systems. All bulk production runs are subject to multi-stage inline inspections and final pre-carton audits evaluated against the international Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL 2.5 Major / 4.0 Minor) standard.
Clients reserve the right to deploy certified third-party inspection agencies (such as SGS, Intertek, or Bureau Veritas) to perform pre-shipment quality audits at our manufacturing facility prior to final vessel dispatch.
5. Intellectual Property & Non-Disclosure (NDA)
Wide Leather respects and protects all client intellectual property. All custom designs, CAD patterns, tech packs, embossing dies, and custom-branded hardware molds remain the exclusive property of the Client.
We execute standard mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) prior to tech pack submission, ensuring your original designs and brand assets will never be displayed, shared, or produced for any third-party entity.
6. Payment Terms, Incoterms & Export Shipping
Unless otherwise agreed in a formal commercial supply contract, standard B2B commercial terms apply:
- Payment Terms: 30% deposit upon Proforma Invoice (PI) confirmation; 70% balance payment upon completion of production and pre-shipment quality sign-off.
- Incoterms: Orders are quoted on Ex-Works (EXW), FOB (Free on Board), or DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms depending on buyer preference.
- Export Packaging: Products are individually poly-bagged with silica gel desiccant packs, packed in 5-ply heavy-duty corrugated export cartons, and palletized for sea/air freight.
7. Defect Claims, Warranty & Dispute Resolution
Wide Leather guarantees that all shipped goods conform strictly to approved Pre-Production Samples and technical specifications. In the unlikely event of defect discrepancies:
Quality Claim Window: Defect claims must be filed in writing within 30 calendar days of shipment arrival at the destination port/warehouse.
Remedy: Verified manufacturing defects exceeding AQL 2.5 tolerances will be repaired, replaced, or credited toward future orders at Wide Leather's expense.
